Nick Leith-Smith Architecture + Design is hiring a junior interior designer to join its team in London.
Nick Leith Smith A + D is a highly creative and professional studio. Our award-winning international projects cover an exciting array of high profile work in retail, hospitality and residential. We have a strong multi-disciplinary team, which deliver in addition to interior design; architecture, strategy, branding, menu development, operations and financial modelling services.
Nick Leith Smith A+D is looking for a talented Junior Interior Designer to join its London Studio.
Role and responsibilities:
- producing design concepts, proposals and mood boards
- contributing to fully detailed tender and construction drawing packages
- working across all stages of the design process through to completion
- FF&E sourcing
- project management and administration
- attending site visits when required
Required skills and experience:
- two+ years of relevant professional experience
- proficiency with Vectorworks, Adobe InDesign & Photoshop and Excel
- strong CAD drawing skills and the ability to produce 3D rendered visuals
- some knowledge of technical design for interior architectural elements
- experience in sourcing furniture, materials, finishes and presenting FF&E
- good communication skills necessary for liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and others in the office
- friendly and collaborative, with the ability to work efficiently and to tight deadlines under their own initiative
- strong administration and organisational abilities
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
Software skills: Vectorworks, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign
