LOD was founded as an architectural experimental laboratory dedicated to exploring the relationship between form and function, architecture and urbanism, economics and sustainability. It creates an open platform for developing new ideas and designs through innovations and collaborations across different disciplines.
Founded as an architectural design laboratory, we have completed a series of projects for well-known developers, management enterprises and internet companies in various innovative fields and industries. Through a creative approach and cross-disciplinary collaboration, we as brand architect build together with our client an open platform for brand design, industrial strategic planning, spatial planning and product line research and development.
LOD believe that as the world is rapidly developing we have the responsibility to create new mechanisms for better designing our future; by integrating knowledge, local and specific, traditional and technological, in a way not yet foreseen. Globalisation, with its different aspects create new risks as well as opportunities. LOD is specifically created to build on the potentials of such challenge.

Our design team based in Barcelona, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hong Kong provide a full spectrum of design consultation services including branding, masterplanning, architectural and interiors design and Visual Identity system.
LOD is looking for talented designers/architects to join our team.
Qualified candidates would work not only in our Shenzhen/Beijing office on projects in China, but also with our Barcelona office on international projects and research prototype.

Specific responsibilities:
- assist with product and category trend research in furniture and lighting
- develop and sketching on initial design ideas, identifying the suitability and availability of materials
- must be able to multi-task various projects within team environment
- must possess a strong sense of design, colour and style with an understanding of global home design trends and latest materials
- works with management team to improve new product development processes and production time and suggest improvements
- develop project plans and manage all check points from Initiative Proposal through to production
- Involve in assurance reviews of projects, including requirements, risk management, planning and control, and forecast milestone dates.

- working with demand management team to plan product introduction to supply chain
Qualifications:
- bachelors or master’s degree in in industrial/product design, or equivalent
- minimum three to five years of experience in related field
- design driven, with technical knowledge and interest
- ability to speak confidently in public and lead presentations
- to be self-motivated, working independently and integrating with our project and design team in all aspects of the design process
- strong team worker
- proficient in SketchUp, Rhino, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, 3D studio or related softwares
- ability to complete a full set of documents from schematic design phase, design development phase, construction document phase and coordinate with all consultants
- ability to work closely with firm principal and production team from schematic design through project completion
