Marcel Wanders is looking for an FF&E designer to join its team in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

As our FF&E designer you will work on high-end interior design projects in the hospitality and private residence sectors. You are able to interpret design briefs, creating concepts and presentations, selecting items, collecting imagery and specifications, and preparing mood boards. Sourcing and proposing materials, furniture, decorative lighting, sanitary, and accessory pieces for our international clients is something you are very familiar with.

Your excellent skills with Adobe Creative Suite programs will be a strong asset in producing FF&E presentations and mood boards, working in collaboration with our creative directors and design teams. You are capable of providing solutions and alternatives concerning all FF&E items. You have an obsession of getting every detail correct, and your creative sense of story-telling contributes to design excellence. Flexibility to work on multiple projects at the same time is in your second nature from your organised and structured way of working.

Specifying, integrating and coordinating FF&E is something you are passionate about, and your compiling of FF&E schedules and documentation is done meticulously and accurately. In addition you provide ownership of the materials library – in organisation, products, collections, catalogues, etc. – to maintain a valuable design resource. Overall you are a proactive, energetic and collaborative team player integral to and on all projects.

Skills and experience:

• five plus years’ of relevant professional experience
• bachelor’s degree in interior design or similar
• excellent Adobe Creative Suite and Office 365 skills
• extended network of FF&E resources – i.e. accessories, antiques, bespoke furniture, etc.
• extensive knowledge of FF&E products, suppliers, manufacturers in the interior design market, with an excellent sense of manufacturing techniques and commerce
• excellent understanding of FF&E applications and requirements in architectural and interior design
• fluent in English – both spoken and written. Knowledge of the Dutch language is an advantage
• living in Amsterdam or willing to relocate there
• European Union working visa
