Sibyl Colefax & John Fowler is hiring a senior design assistant to join its office in London.

Senior design assistant based in London working on private residential projects both in the UK and abroad.

• working with the lead interior designer on all fabrics, furnishings, lighting schemes and spatial planning etc.
• assisting in client meetings and site meetings with contractors
• manage all aspects of projects, answering contractors’ queries
• assist with sourcing and creating presentations to include all aspects of decoration
• raising estimates, orders and invoices for suppliers and clients
• creating FF&E schedules for contractors and architects
• creating specifications for soft furnishing and bespoke furnishings etc.
• coordinating and overseeing all deliveries and installations
• must be willing and able to travel
• assisting with general day to day office management and general PA duties

Requirements:

• at least three years’ experience in interior design, specifically working as a design assistant
• a wide knowledge of suppliers both internationally and in the UK
• good knowledge of estimating programmes as well as Word/Excel etc.
• attention to detail, accuracy, numeracy  and a good multi-tasker
• clean driving licence essential
• hard working, team player
