ARCHJS is looking for an architect to join its team in Kuwait.

ARCHJS, is an architecture and design firm based in Kuwait aimed to deliver distinctive experiences through design.

Job Description:

  • creating building designs and highly detailed drawings both by hand and by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications
  • liaising with construction professionals about the feasibility of potential projects interior and architectural
  • working around constraining factors such as town planning legislation, environmental impact and project budget
  • working closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologists
  • applying for planning permission and advice from governmental new build and legal departments
  • specifying the requirements for the project
  • adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during construction
  • travelling regularly to building sites, proposed locations and client meetings
  • preparing and presenting design proposals to clients
  • negotiating with contractors and other professionals about the tenders
  • attending regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
  • coordinating the work of contractors
  • dealing with problems that might come up during building

Qualifications

  • degree in architecture
  • two-eight years working experience in all phases of design process:
  • conceptual (highly developed in concept designing)
  • schematic/design development
  • detail and construction documents
  • construction administration with site supervision

Skills

  • must be excellent in English
  • excellent with Architectural software’s such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Rhino, 3D-Max, V-Ray and Adobe Creative Suite
  • highly developed skills in client communications, project scheduling, and building design technical detailing, Consultant coordination
  • adept in executing and finalising design intentions through various stages of completion
