London Legacy Development Corporation is recruiting for an urban design assistant to join its firm in London.

£31,359 per annum
18-month fixed-term contract

Role summary

We are looking for a proactive and self-motivated urban design assistant to work within our design team to contribute to embedding high-quality design across LLDC built environment projects.

This is a supporting design role involving work on projects between RIBA stages 0-7 as well as assisting the team in providing specialist architectural/urban design advice for the organisation.

This is a busy and involved role, and its scope will include the preparation of maps, drawings and plans, as well as design briefs and feasibility studies for our exciting portfolio of development and regeneration projects.

The person

To apply for this role you will need to have a relevant degree in architecture, and it is desirable to have a post-graduate built environment qualification such as architecture or urban design.

You will require professional experience in working on built environment projects at various RIBA stages. You will also have demonstrable knowledge of best practice urban design and the principles of development as well as excellent freehand and computer drafting skills, excellent mapping skills and the ability to interpret drawings and technical information.

This role involves a high level of personal organisation and self-motivation. You must have exceptional verbal and written skills, and be highly numerate and computer literate.
