Joyce Wang Studio is hiring a studio administrator intern to join its studio in London.
Studio administrator
We are an award-winning boutique design studio specialising in hospitality design and bespoke furniture design, with a selective portfolio in residential projects. Signature projects include the Cabana Suites at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (Los Angeles), AMMO Restaurant Bar (Hong Kong), Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park (London) as well as Mott 32 Restaurant (Hong Kong, Vancouver and Las Vegas). We believe in a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to design and thrive on inspiration drawn from film, fashion and other artistic disciplines. Our goal is to produce timeless work that has big impact on an international level whilst staying boutique in size and in culture. Responsibilities include:
- smooth day to day running of the studio ensuring that all facilities are maintained and operational
- be the first point of contact for enquiries by phone, email and visitors to our studio
- maintain studio supplies keeping staff facilities in good order and replenish as needed
- coordinate/arrange travel, hotel and restaurant reservations and bookings
- human resource administration including management of annual leave and recruitment of freelance and interns as required
- support financial controller with supplier invoices, VAT returns and maintain financial records for the studio
- coordinate responses to press and marketing enquiries
- tracking and coordinating industry and studio events, trade shows and award nominations
- occasional PA duties to the studio principal
Requirements:
- enthusiastic and self-motivated with a can-do spirit
- excellent time management and highly organised
- ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- must have confidence to work under your own initiative and be proactive
- excellent written and spoken English is essential
- flexible with great interpersonal skills
- knowledge of Microsoft Office and InDesign would be beneficial
- having an interest in art and design would be an advantage
