Project architect
Hoyt Architects is looking for a project architect to join its growing team in Tampa, Florida.

Primary responsibilities
In the role of project architect, we’ll count on you to:
- lead a multi-discipline team and perform layout and detailing on architectural projects
- independently coordinate work of a multi-discipline team through multiple phases of a project
- establish owner/client and internal meetings, and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- conduct work sessions at project site in conjunction with project manager and other disciplines
- coordinate workload of team members through multiple phases to complete documents on schedule
- assist with tracking financial aspects of project for own discipline and work with project and department manager for project reviews as needed
- review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
- perform QA/QC and technical reviews
- write and edit architectural specifications
- coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders
- incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents
- lead projects in a dual management role as needed
- provide construction contract administration as needed
Qualifications
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture
- registered architect, five + years experience
- must be able to lead a team on projects. Strong written and communication skills. Good analytical, problem-solving, and mentoring skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- excellent knowledge of BIM and Autodesk Revit, and familiarity with related tools and processes
- knowledge of parametric modeling tools and processes a plus -Grasshopper, Dynamo
- experience with Microsoft Office suite, Project Management and Scheduling software
- strong knowledge of codes
- knowledge of visualisation tools and processes a plus – Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max, Rhino
