Amode is seeking a studio manager to join its office in Hammersmith, London.

Amode is a fast-growing high-end furniture company. Our clients include both retail and trade, and some of the most prestigious top-100 interior design and architecture practices in the UK are our clients. We have our showroom and offices in west London and exhibit at the industry leading Decorex International trade fair.

We have exciting plans for growth over the next five years and in order to achieve our goals, we are looking for an exceptionally talented individual to join our tight-knit team as an studio/office manager

Main duties:

  • front-of-house duties – answering calls and routing to correct person/department, meet and greet visitors, prepare drinks and refreshments, maintain visual/housekeeping standards throughout the day, receive mail and courier deliveries
  • HR administrative tasks – preparing new employee documentation, onboarding new starters, processing leavers, manage staff holiday requests, sickness/absences and rota etc.
  • manage and arrange company social events (birthdays, new arrivals, leaving dos, work anniversaries, xmas party, company socials etc)
  • providing administrative support to colleagues on an ad hoc basis
  • managing and ordering stock of office supplies, stationary, equipment, refreshments etc.
  • facilities management – ensuring building repair and maintenance checks are done monthly, and arranging for any servicing and repairs
  • opening and closing of the showroom and offices, daily housekeeping and arranging weekly cleaner
  • weekly fire alarm safety checks and health and safety responsibilities
  • reviewing and renewing annual services such as insurance policies, PPL/PRS etc.
  • clean and restock kitchen and coffee stations regularly
  • sourcing new company suppliers and service providers as required
  • processing all incoming mail, hand to correct person, open business post and process/file as required
  • diary management and arranging travel and hotel bookings
  • IT support
  • any additional administrative/office management tasks as required

Key skills: 

  • two years’ prior experience in a similar studio/office manager role
  • a friendly people-person with a positive can-do attitude
  • excellent problem solving abilities and the ability to find a solution for every challenge
  • exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • proficient Microsoft Office skills

Days: Mon-Fri 9.00am – 5.30pm
