The White Wall Company is looking for a CAD designer to join its team in London.
About us
The White Wall Company is an art fabrication company. We create sculptures and exhibitions for some of the world’s most renowned contemporary artists and gallery spaces. The services we provide include CAD design and production drawing, woodwork, metalwork, fine paintwork, and a range of other fabrication methods. We work with our clients to bring projects from the stage of initial concept to structural feasibility to fabrication.
We have a light and open plan mezzanine office above our workshop. Our small team is funny, friendly, and helpful.
About the job
We are looking for a CAD technician to join our team developing designs and producing construction drawings.
Key responsibilities:
- work alongside a project manager to issue 3D drawings/DWGs for workshop production
- produce 3D drawings to specification and in line with the company format
- support project manager in resolving design queries
Essential experience:
- proficient working knowledge of Rhino
- minimum two years of experience of using 3D drawing software in a professional environment
- experience and knowledge of a range of fabrication materials
- strong communication skills
- high attention to detail
- experience of digital fabrication (CNC, 3D printing)
Desired experience:
- some experience of the arts industry
- liaising directly with suppliers and clients
- some practical knowledge/experience working in a workshop environment
Salary: dependent on experience
