Middleweight interior designer

PENSON is seeking a middleweight interior designer to join its London practice.
Globally renowned architects and interior designers, PENSON, are seeking applications for a full-time, talented and driven middleweight interior designer to assist with highly creative hotel and workplace projects for some of the world’s most high-profile brands and personalities.
PENSON’s designers represent the best talent with a huge amount of creative flair. Our interior design positions provide a unique hands-on experience of integral interior design projects. You will be working side by side with our design teams and clients whilst gaining increased exposure to a wide range of design experiences and practices within our full portfolio of integrated disciplines: architecture, interiors, graphic and industrial design, master planning and consulting.
As a PENSON employee, you will be fully integrated within the design teams, participating in hands-on design exercises and collaborating directly with team members. Participants will also enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of our firm and the broader office community through a number of learning resources focused on supporting your professional development.
We require a highly communicative upbeat candidate with solid AutoCAD/Photoshop skills as a minimum. If you’re like us, then you’ll have a great eye for design and detail. You will have a technical knowledge base to drive gifted concepts through to fully detailed technical packages.
The successful candidate will be based in our London studio in a highly rewarding environment and working with a very friendly and talented team.
About the candidate:
- a minimum of three years’ professional experience in commercial design
- creative thinker and practical problem solver
- commercially minded whilst having a great creative flair and a strong visual sense
- excellent proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- personable with superb communication skills with a high level of spoken and written English
- self-motivated with excellent time management and prioritising skills to work accurately under pressure
- strong attention to detail
- energy, enthusiasm, and passion for all things design
- must be an obvious team player
- able to work on initiative with a consultative approach
- excellent client liaison and people management skills
- excellent presentation and negotiation skills
