Architectural assistant
at SIA Design Build
SIA Design Build is seeking an architectural assistant to join its team in London.
A small design-build firm which is currently shifting into development. This will start as a part-time role with potential to become a full-time role with project performance bonuses. You should be interested in learning all aspects of the job role and training will be provided. I require an individual who is comfortable working in the following roles.
Planning applications – preparing documentation for small scale proposals and small scale developments. Including drawing proposals in AutoCAD and filing of planning applications on planning portal. Site surveys 3D-modelling skills would be beneficial. InDesign used for design and access documents.
Building control applications – integrating engineers info into design documents and preparing construction details using AutoCAD. Attention to construction detail implications.
Quoting – taking our drawing sets and preparing construction quotes (training will be provided)
Site visits – inspections of site progress one-two times per week
Social media – assisting with increasing the public face of the business
