DCHD International Design is looking for architects to join its team in Qingdao, China.
Position: entry level
DC+HD is an award-winning architecture and design company established in 2012, which merged the strong conceptual design skills, working methodologies and philosophies of Decai Group (China) and Hdar (formerly
Harper Downie, UK), to combine the best of both cultures. DC+HD work across a range of sectors including; master-planning, transport, commercial, mixed-use, education, leisure, interiors, residential, exhibition and furniture design. We pride ourselves on containing the skills within our team to provide a bespoke design solution to any given context and project.
We are looking for creative, self-motivated architects to join our office in Qingdao, China.
The successful candidates would possess the following:
Essential:
- a passion for travel and learning about new cultures – our projects are located across China
- the individual should have a passion for design and possess strong all-around design and presentation skills
- solid experience of working to high standards
ambitious and motivated with good interpersonal skills; a team player with strong communication and organisational skills - responsible, accountable; able to work independently and to deadlines
- proactive and self-motivated, with a continuous desire to both learn from and mentor others
- drawing ability and a high level of accuracy
- working knowledge of 3D and 2D softwares such as SketchUp, Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, Revit, Archicad, Adobe Suite, MS Office, etc.
- fluent English communication skills; fluency in Mandarin is a plus
- minimum of three years experience
Note: we do not use Vectorworks in the China studio – all drawing files are exported in DWG format from AutoCAD or ArchiCAD
Salary dependent upon experience. This will be discussed at the interview stage.
