Paul Cocksedge Studio is looking for a designer/CAD visualiser to become part of its team in London.
Paul Cocksedge Studio is an internationally acclaimed design practice notable for the design of high-end products, site-specific installations and public interventions. At the heart of our work is the exploration of the limits of technology to create unique and surprising design experiences.
We undertake arts and design commissions and consultancy work for a wide range of companies and sectors, with a diverse catalogue of high-profile clients encompassing luxury fashion labels, exclusive interiors manufacturers and major cultural institutions.
This is a full-time position with an immediate start, based at the studio in east London.
The role
We are now seeking candidates for the position of designer/CAD visualiser to work closely with the creative director on new and exciting projects in a fast pace working environment. We are looking for a designer with a keen creative eye, with the skills to generate storytelling concepts and experience in delivering projects from inception to completion.
The successful candidate will be an expert and fast in 3D CAD visualisations, with exceptional visualisations, experienced in producing geometric drawings and photorealistic renderings.
Requirements:
- ability to develop conceptual designs and illustrate using various software packages required
- advanced knowledge of 3ds Max, Rhino are Adobe Creative Suite. AutoCAD, Solidworks a bonus
- ability to render photorealistic images: from small scale object to large scale, i.e. architectural building, exterior and interiors
- fully competent in detailing design development work; must be able to produce technical drawings, understand perspective and proportions, and have the ability to manipulate them
- an excellent sense of colour and finishes; proven abilities to produce complex geometrics, manipulate lighting and texture, material creation, etc.
- attention to detail is essential
- good communication and time-management skills are essential
- ability to work on high-pressure projects and meet tight deadlines
- collaborating with the wider design team; creative director, technical designer, workshop and project manager to deliver fully resolved designs
Responsibilities:
- producing initial concept mock-ups and visualisations
- detailed design development work
- producing final visuals for client presentations
- collaborating with internal technical team, project managers and production team to deliver fully resolved designs
