Julie Hillman Design seeks an interior architect with three-five years of experience to join its team in New York, USA.

You will be required to work closely with all team members on multiple projects consecutively. Strong time management skills and the ability to work alone and with others a must. The interior architect will be directly responsible for the oversight, review, and delivery of design documents at all stages of the interior architectural process. The right candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is professional with excellent communication skills, and can successfully assist with all levels of project management.

Requirements include:

  • degree in architecture or interior design or three-five years of professional experience as an interior architect (experience in all phases of project work including preparation of conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documents/supporting materials)
  • demonstrates strong knowledge of programming and functional adjacencies
  • expert proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop or other digital modelling and rendering programs
  • experience in interior design production through all phases of design and construction
  • strong attention to detail
  • exceptional organisational skills
  • willingness to initiate tasks and perform duties with little supervision
  • ability to multi-task and prioritise within a fast-paced environment
  • strong work ethic with a ‘can-do’ attitude

Preferred qualifications:

  • strong knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques, building systems selection
  • hand sketching/rendering a plus
  • experience with residential architecture/design
