Role: architectural assistant/architectural technician, RIBA Part 2 or equivalent

Sheehan Nagle Hartray Associates have current opportunities for architectural/architectural technicians assistant, RIBA Part 2 or equivalent, at their London office.

The architectural assistant/architectural technician will be required to perform design, drawing and project administration assignments. They will be responsible:
- for the preparation of new and amendments to existing designs, drawings, specification and schedules to suit design development and information release requirements
- to evaluate, select and apply knowledge of design and construction techniques
- to assist in client management tasks
- to develop a knowledge of principles and practices of related consultants and specialists and liaise through all design disciplines
- to develop the use of CAD (AutoCAD and/or Revit) and other administrative types of IT systems
- to develop product knowledge and practical awareness in the creation and application of solutions appropriate to design development
- to familiarise yourself with all statutory requirements, including CDM regulations and obligations
- to familiarise yourself with design and buildability issues, attend site visits as necessary
- to maintain CPD by attending relevant training courses and studying appropriate literature
Eligibility qualification or experience
Architect:
- graduate with RIBA Part 2 approved qualification – BArch or similar
- designer: recognised design qualification or appropriate experience, newly qualified after at least two years post qualification work experience
- technician: BArch, BTEC, HND or similar and two-four years’ work experience
- the position is open to UK-based applicants only, who have prior experience working in the architecture, engineering or construction businesses, the candidate should demonstrate excellent technical capability, plus possess great interpersonal and communication skills
