VG&P | Isokon Plus is hiring a workshop manager/administrator to join its office in London.
This position’s roles and responsibilities consist of managing internal manufacturing and in-house systems and is the conduit between the design team (based in Oval, London) and the operations team (based in Walthamstow, London).
The ideal candidate will have experience in the design or manufacturing industry and knowledge of management systems with the view of helping the company implement improved systems of internal communication, prepare for growth and increase efficiency. This person needs a highly focused attention to detail, be passionate about maintaining quality, be a problem solver and have a proactive attitude at all times.
This role works alongside the operations director, working closely with the purchasing manager, warehouse manager, production manager and design team to ensure a seamless supply of products arrive to our customers on-time with an excellent level of service.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- implementing and maintaining health and safety standards and policies
- maintaining any compliance related admin
- liaising with the warehouse manager about logistics
- dealing with any queries from the financial team
- organising samples to support the design and sales teams
- general facility and machinery management and maintenance
- assisting the operations director as necessary
- managing holiday, overtime and sick leave
- ad hoc HR support
- purchasing raw materials, consumables, components, boxes and sundries for the workshop
- maintaining stock inventory of raw materials and components
- implementation and maintenance of effective office systems
- processing orders and creating production schedules
- creating job packs for orders
- liaising with the design team on specifics of projects
- arranging and outsourcing of jobs
