HBA International has an opportunity for a junior designer to join its team in west London.

HBA International is a dynamic interior design company, specialising in high‐end hospitality interiors. With over 20 offices around the world, our inspiring 30 strong west London studio (where you will be based) offers a bespoke service creating beautiful, well planned interiors for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas.

Job summary

Under the direction of senior project designers and senior designers, the junior designer will assist in the initial design conception, technical development and execution of assigned project phases and assembly and maintenance of related documents. The junior designer is expected to perform at a level appropriate to their training and/or experience.

Reporting relationships

The junior designer reports to the senior project designers. This position may take direction from the senior designer on design project related matters.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • assume an assistant role in design presentations in communicating with clients and ensure that format is compatible with office and client standards/requirements
  • help develop and execute the design direction for overall project and communicate to the project team
  • communicate project status to senior designer on a regular basis and develop and maintain communication with all project team members
  • attend site meetings and assist in the process of reviewing the project along with the project manager
  • focus on service delivery while monitoring the status of assigned project tasks against the project schedule and participate on quality reviews of projects

Other important duties:

  • participate in the establishment and maintenance of design standards for the company
  • keep abreast of new hospitality industry trends that may influence design scheme
  • other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge skills and abilities:

  • AutoCAD proficiency

Education and experience: 

Minimum of two-four years hospitality design experience preferred. Two or four year degree from an accredited interior design program preferred.

Competitive salary offered.

This is a full‐time position within the company and office hours are 9am – 6.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am ‐ 1pm on Fridays.

This position is available immediately.
