Associate/senior architect

Studio Lord is seeking an associate or senior architect to join its team in London.

Studio Lord is an architectural practice dedicated to finding creative solutions for buildings, spaces, and masterplans to enhance the experience of everyone who uses them. We are currently looking for an experienced Associate or Senior Architect to join our expanding London studio and be involved with a range of exciting international projects.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, motivated, and design-led architect that can deliver projects to the highest standard. The position requires the successful candidate to perform the role of a job-running architect, overseeing a medium size team and manage all project outputs. It requires a professional and can-do approach, including the ability to engage with a full design team and resolve technical design coordination challenges.

Requirements:

  • RIBA Part 3 qualification and be ARB registered
  • a minimum of eight years’ post-Part 3 experience working in a UK architectural practice
  • strong design and detailing skills
  • excellent hand-drawn skills, including the ability to produce sketch illustrations
  • experience across all RIBA work stages (particularly working at RIBA Stages 3 and 4)
  • experience working effectively with clients and consultant teams, including chairing design team meetings
  • technical expertise and knowledge of current construction methods
  • strong project management skills
  • highly proficient in AutoCAD is essential, experience using Revit and an understanding of BIM processes is desirable
  • demonstrate excellent sketch-up and Photoshop/Affinity Photo skills
  • international project experience is desirable but not essential
  • strong communication and presentation skills
  • excellent attention to detail, time management and organisation skills are essential
