HQ Architects was founded in Tel Aviv in 2008 by Erez Ella, and is currently comprised by a creative and dedicated team of 35 people based in Tel Aviv. The practice combines rigorous research, investigative curiosity and search for ingenuity in all our projects, which results in contextual, innovative and high-quality design.

Our expanding portfolio includes work among various sectors, including urban design, public spaces and infrastructure, a wide range of cultural and educational projects as well as offices, hotels and retail projects.

Most recently the practice completed the Michael Sela Auditorium at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Currently, we have over a dozen projects under construction including the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance Kushner building, and the 45,000 sq. meters new campus of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem in collaboration with Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa / S A N A A.

The position

This is a senior position where the candidate will be in charge of actively implementing projects, overseeing architectural designs and leading one of our teams. The candidate should ideally have four to six years’ experience in Israel or abroad with complex projects and be able to join our practice in Tel Aviv. The successful candidate will have a strong design ethos with attention to detail, an engaging personality and proactive attitude.

Excellent skills of communication and the ability to coordinate is essential. You are confident working directly with clients, consultants and contractors.

You enjoy working in an international and creative environment, build relationships and motivate the team.

Essential requirements:

  • previous experience in similar role in Israel or abroad
  • the ability to work well under pressure, to meet deadlines efficiently and effectively on budget
  • evidence of excellent design understanding and attention to detail
  • good interpersonal skills and communication; the ability to manage a team of designers/architects
  • fluency in Hebrew
  • eligibility to work in Israel
