Part 2/3 architectural assistant

Yinka Ilori Studio is looking for a Part 2/3 architectural assistant to join its practice in London.
Yinka Ilori is a multidisciplinary artist of a British-Nigerian heritage, who specialises in storytelling by fusing his British and Nigerian heritage to tell new stories in contemporary design. He began his practice in 2013 up-cycling vintage furniture, inspired by the traditional Nigerian parables and West African fabrics that surrounded him as a child.
Yinka Ilori Studio was established in 2013 following a successful pitch to transform the Thessaly Road Bridge. The studio now consists of a team of colour-obsessed architects and designers, with the expertise and capacity to take on large-scale architectural and interior design projects. The studio continues to experiment with the relationship between function and form, with an output that sits between traditional divisions of art and design.
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious part-time Part 2/3 architect to join our studio to work on a range of exciting projects.
You will be working with a very friendly and talented team. We are a non-hierarchical, collaborative and multi-disciplinary practice.
Applicants must have the following:
- demonstrate project coordination with a strong creative flair and a strong visual sense
- must have energy, enthusiasm, and passion for all things design
- ability to multi-task and be keen to take on responsibility across all stages of every project
- be creative thinker and practical problem solver with a strong attention to detail
- have excellent graphic, communication and organisational skills
- have a high sense of responsibility, and a flexible open attitude towards new ways of working and ability to handle multiple roles
- use their initiative and be able to work as a team
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, tight deadlines and work on various projects concurrently
- excellent design skills with experience with large scale and interior design projects is preferable
- knowledge on budgeting large scale projects
- confident speaking to clients and suppliers
- freehand sketching, good writing skills and fluency in speaking and writing English will be required
- have 2D and 3D software knowledge of SketchUp Pro, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
