HWKN is seeking a German-speaking architect to join its team in New York.
HWKN is a global architecture firm in New York that works on projects of all types and sizes with ambitious designs. Matthias Hollwich, the company’s founder, was born in Germany and grew up where he studied architecture. He brings a double perspective to all of the company’s designs and combines German precision with American standards. His vision is shared by his team of people who listen, ask questions and lead the creation of exceptional places.
HWKN is looking for a talented and motivated employee to support our team with projects in Germany. We offer a corporate culture with flat hierarchies and room for creativity. Compensation is regulated according to experience, including health insurance (50% coverage), 401(k) and a generous regulation on vacation days.
The following qualifications are required:
- based in the USA, preferably New York (we will work remotely for the time being)
- three to six years of planning experience on projects in Germany, especially in service phases 1, 2 and 3 (according to HOAI)
- very good knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe programs, and is familiar with the current standards in Germany
- fluent in English and German (speaking and writing)
- you are reliable, strong in communication and good at working in a team – but you can also do your work independently in the current remote work environment. Above all, you have fun and passion in your work, which you share with our entire team
- work permit for the USA
