HWKN is a global architecture firm founded by Matthias Hollwich in 2007.

The practice regularly partners with cities, developers and entrepreneurial clients to create major redevelopments, community spaces, residential buildings and offices.

The firm comprises a close-knit team of architects and design specialists that work from its office in New York City.

Pictured above is the firm's 2012 winning design for MoMa/P.S.1's Young Architects Program competition – a spiky, fabric-coated installation named Wendy, which was treated with a spray that neutralises pollutants in the air.
