Senior urban designer – maternity cover
at Tibbalds
Tibbalds is seeking a senior urban designer for maternity cover to join its team in London.
We have an exciting opportunity for experienced architects/urban designers to join our award winning, multi-disciplinary team of urban designers, architects and planners.
We are an employee-owned practice based in London Bridge and work for a wide range of private and public clients on an eclectic mix of projects. These range from large scale masterplans, new settlements, estate regeneration projects, spatial strategies and complex mixed use/commercial proposals down to smaller scale arts, community and sports related developments.
We have a strong design ethos and work on the crossover between urban design and planning. We adopt a positive and collaborative approach to move projects forward and achieve great places.
We are looking for a new team member with four to six years’ experience in an urban design/masterplanning practice.
You will be:
- a creative designer with a background in architecture, talented in housing design with an understanding of different building typologies, able to test capacities, come up with and illustrate compelling design concepts (RIBA stage 1 and 2)
- motivated to manage people and projects, work collaboratively and help us develop business opportunities
We are looking for maternity cover for one year from March 2021 and we will offer a competitive salary to match your skills and experience.
We are all currently working remotely over the internet and keeping in touch with our clients and teams via video calls. We envisage we are likely to continue with a mix of remote and office working in the future.
