Collett Zarzycki is seeking an interior design assistant for maternity cover to join its team in London.
Role: FF&E interior design assistant
Location: Maida Hill, London W9
Start date: as soon as possible
We are a small architectural and interior design practice based in West London specialising in high-end residential projects. Running for over 30 years we have continuously been included in House and Garden Magazine’s list of top 100 interior designers. We are looking for a personable, organised and enthusiastic design assistant to assist the project leader and studio while a member of our team takes maternity leave.
Experience and skills:
- organised, efficient, competent and motivated
- a good allrounder
- have two to three years’ industry experience in residential interior design
- administration and organisation experience
- fluent in English both verbal and written with excellent communication skills
- good proficiency in Microsoft Office suite essential, Auto CAD and Photoshop preferred
- ability to understand and produce detailed scale drawings
- have a permit to work in the UK
Duties and detail
Assisting the team with the implementation of all stages of a project from initial concept to completion including:
- research and produce mood boards for presentations
- produce and amend furniture drawings and plans for bespoke joinery and furniture using Auto CAD and by hand
- creation and management of schedules in Excel
- produce purchase orders and follow up approved orders to ensure a timely delivery
- assist during client meetings and create detailed minutes
- liaise with clients via email
- source fabrics and materials, and obtain quotes
- maintain fabric and materials library
- assist when required with the architectural/FF&E coordination
- coordinate with storage and delivery firm
- assist with installation
