Architectural designer
at Megan's Restaurant
Megan’s Restaurant is seeking an architectural designer to join its team in London.
You will work with our highly creative and hands-on founder to develop and design plans for our new restaurants. You will be required to take new locations from shell to fully designed restaurants. This will involve overseeing the process from site survey, through planning, detailed design (including technical M&E, site meetings and design snagging. You must have previous experience within hospitality (specifically restaurants). We are currently going through an exciting period of growth; you therefore must be able to work to strict timeframes and be able to manage multiple projects at one time.
You will demonstrate practical knowledge and experience of:
- planning and building regulations
- site surveys
- M&E (all services: plumbing, electrical etc)
- AutoCAD
- produce CAD drawing packs including technical detail
- building materials, systems, specifications, codes, details, and construction techniques
- can enrich design concepts through technical strategies
The successful candidate will:
- be fluent in AutoCAD
- be able to navigate multiple projects, with different technical constraints
- work in a structured way whilst adaptable to change
- be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- understanding of project management tools and software
- be a team player, be interested, inventive, energetic
- have excellent design and visualisation skills
- should have in-depth knowledge of materials, techniques and innovations related to architecture and design
- available to travel within the UK
