Carlo Ratti Associati is seeking a construction manager to join its team in Turin.

As we are expanding our activities into 1:1 digital fabrication, we are looking for an enthusiastic construction manager to coordinate each aspect of construction projects – from design to site construction, and overseeing progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for budgeting, organisation, implementation, developing and scheduling of the projects, synching up with our fabrication team.

Construction manager’s job responsibilities:

  • coordinating with the digital fabrication team
  • managing in-factory pre-building and on-site construction
  • ensuring that the project is constructed, documented and invoiced in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices
  • developing and maintaining project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records
  • assisting in managing and reviewing the progress of contractors’ construction schedules
  • reporting the status of projects to business and market leaders
  • attending client program meetings as needed

Construction manager’s qualifications/skills:

  • BIM and digital twin knowledge Coors
  • knowledge of construction technology
  • familiarity with project and department budget process and tools
  • knowledge of project control
  • risk assessment/management
  • administrative policies and procedures
  • conflict management and problem solving skills
  • leadership ability
  • multi-tasking ability
  • communication, meeting, and presentation skills
  • comfort with time reporting systems

Education, experience and licensing requirements:

  • master’s of science in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or other related discipline required
  • two to three years’ project experience working in the construction industry required
  • experience with large manufacturing facilities construction sites preferred
  • proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software
