The company

Poliform UK is a design led company based in Kings Road and Wigmore Street, London.  Poliform are world leaders in wardrobes, library systems, kitchen and furniture for the whole home and are currently looking for a designer to join their expanding team in London’s infamous Kings Road SW3.

The role

We are looking for an ambitious and talented designer to join our team. You will have a minimum of three years’ experience working with high end clients in either a furniture or interiors company preparing drawings, presentations and quotations. You will be willing to work in a challenging environment and able to work under pressure.

Duties:

  • the role is both technical and administrative and it combines design skills with the ability to organise workload efficiently to facilitate the smooth running of the projects
  • to coordinate and review architectural and interior design information on projects from inception to completion; to support the bespoke design manager to manage the project until completion
  • to take directives from the bespoke design manager and produce design proposals and joinery detailing for standard and bespoke productions to highest standards
  • to prepare technical prints, visuals and presentations and to revise drawings for client meetings
  • to produce different sets of drawings and information aimed at facilitating the work of specific professionals involved in the project (client, architect, contractor, installations)

Responsibilities:

  • to assist the bespoke design manager in all the tasks required to run the projects
  • to assist with costings and quotations
  • to participate in clients meeting and interpreting discussions
  • to liaise with the installation department regarding surveys and installations
  • to liaise with the accounts department regarding costs
  • to liaise with the factory regarding design details and solutions
  • to liaise with CGI consultants to produce interior design concepts and visuals where needed
  • to assist the bespoke design manager with producing technical information and the presentation material to win the contracts and subsequently to manage the project to the highest standards to completion
  • to assist in the design phase, orders to the factory, checking confirmations, site visits and preparatory documentation for installations
  • to support, help and assist the rest of the team when needed
  • to work extra time as and when required

Requirements:

Technical:

  • excellent drawing and IT skills
  • AutoCAD (space planning and joinery detailing)
  • Adobe InDesign/Photoshop and Illustrator (presentations)
  • rendering skills
  • ability to produce presentations to highest standards to reflect the Poliform standards
  • Microsoft Office/Excel (costings)
  • training will be provided for In-house software and systems

Salary: market rate

Hours: 9.30am to 6.00pm Mon-Fri (Saturday when required)
