HawkinsBrown is seeking a junior job captain to join its team in Los Angeles.

For our expanding LA studio, we are looking for a talented junior job captain to join our team and work on a variety of new endeavours located throughout Southern California.
Key areas of responsibility:
- exhibit excellent design skills and some technical expertise across all aspects of a project
- be able to competently assist a team in all phases of a project from concept design, design phases, documentation and possibly construction
- exhibit excellent graphic design skills and strong communication skills
- work with a team to ensure the adequate integration of technical information and statutory requirements into project drawings
- demonstrate design sensitivity through all phases of project development while coordinating the integration of technical requirements and consultant work
- administer project related information in line with the standards and procedures of the practice
- contribute to the development of HawkinsBrown and our growing international presence
- promote team goals and ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the team
- ensure clear and robust dialogue with team members and outside collaborators
Your qualifications and experience:
- minimum of a bachelor’s in architecture or equivalent from an internationally recognised architecture university/institution; a master’s degree in architecture is a plus
- have three to five years’ professional architectural work experience within the US
- sound knowledge of US architecture and design sector and regulations
- Be legally able to work in the United States
Skills required:
- sound working knowledge of Revit
- good methodical and analytical skills
- ability to produce coherent and well resolved architectural designs and understand our HawkinsBrown design philosophy
- ability to communicate design ideas and design process clearly
- strong team player
- ability to plan, manage and prioritize workload
- excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
- strong communication and presentation skills
- possess a proactive and positive attitude
- English fluency is a key requirement
