HWKN is seeking a German speaking architectural designer to join its team in New York.
German and English speaking architectural designer for German phases 1, 2, and 3.
HWKN is looking for a talented and motivated employee in the USA to support our New York-based team with projects in Germany. As the German and English speaking designer, communication is key, and technical know-how is a great asset. HWKN is a design-oriented office with focus on phases SD through DD and the German phases 1, 2 and 3 (HOAI).

Matthias Hollwich, the company’s founder, was born in Germany and where he studied architecture. He brings a double perspective to all of the company’s designs and combines German precision with New Yorker ambition.
The following qualifications are required:
- three to six years’ experience, especially in German phases 1, 2 and 3 (according to HOAI)
- very good knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Adobe programs, and is familiar with the current standards in Germany
- fluent in English and German (speaking and writing)
- you are reliable, strong in communication and good at working in a team – but you can also do your work independently in the current remote work environment. Above all, you have fun and passion in your work, which you share with our entire team
- based in the USA, preferably New York with valid work authorisation
