Theis + Khan Architects is looking for an experienced Part 2/newly qualified Part 3 architect to join its team in Tunbridge Wells, UK.
Theis + Khan Architects is seeking an experienced Part 2 assistant/newly qualified Part 3 architect to work on a wide variety of projects in London, Kent and East Sussex that include a civic centre, churches and high-end private houses in our relaxed and creative Tunbridge Wells office. At least one year of experience post-Part 2 qualification is required.
A strong design sensibility is needed together with experience of working on high-end residential projects, historic buildings and understanding sustainability issues. You will have excellent graphic, design and technical skills and be able to demonstrate knowledge of onsite construction.
Applicants should be able to show the ability to work through technical issues, work across all RIBA work stages and have a good knowledge of UK building regulations. Your job will entail liaising with clients, consultants, planners and the construction team so you should be confident, professional, friendly and a good team-worker.
Our office uses Vectorworks, SketchUp, InDesign and Photoshop. Proficiency in these as well as freehand sketching, good writing skills and fluency in speaking and writing English will be required. The right applicant will be organised, enthusiastic, and ambitious.
The position is full-time and is based in our Tunbridge Wells office.
