Rolfe Judd is seeking an experienced senior workplace designer or architect to join its team in London.
About the role
Rolfe Judd is an award-winning architectural practice renowned for our high-quality architecture, working on a broad range of projects across sectors including commercial, residential and urban regeneration.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong candidate with impeccable design ability, communication and organisational skills, with a track record in leading or being a key part of the team who has successfully delivered:
- creative and inspiring workplace designs set with existing buildings
- ‘cut and carve’ insertions and new-build schemes
- buildings set within Conservation areas
- CAT A and CAT B
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- a strong passion for progressive, sustainable designs in a post COVID world
- the ability to problem solve and react to emerging market demands with new ideas
- an ability to listen, discuss, debate solutions with the client and involve stakeholders as necessary in the design process
- be confident in presenting emerging design ideas through a series of sketches, diagrams and models
- an appreciation of how to develop an internal material palate that is sensitive to the existing fabric and works with the original character of the building
- proficiency in working with Revit and Autocad
- proficiency in 3D modelling packages (Sketchup)
- be fluent in Adobe creative suite
- exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written with a fluency in English
Candidates must also have a thorough understanding of the following:
- relevant office standards
- WELL, BREEAM, Embodied carbon and Lifecycle carbon analysis
