Contract: full-time
Salary range: £35,000 to £50,000 – Dependent on experience

About the role

Working with the co-founders and our US based marketing and new business director you will take ownership of the new business and marketing strategy for London. You will be responsible for researching the local market, coordinating outreach and identify opportunities to secure projects and achieve targeted goals. Advanced knowledge of the property industry is essential to fulfil this role

Responsibilities: 

  • perform market research and prepare regular status updates
  • assess potential new clients, projects, regions; and strategy for proactive outreach
  • work with the firm’s leadership to define the strategic goals, consistent with the firm’s brand message that will guide all business development activities
  • collaborate with the firm’s leadership to strategize marketing initiatives
  • coordinate press activities in conjunction with the firm’s external consultant
  • manage and use contact database to maintain client and collaborator relationships
  • receive inquiries for new business (including RFQs/RFPs), collaborate with firm leadership to strategize responses, and manage the business development team’s preparation of responses
  • represent firm at major trade shows and professional exhibitions

About you

We are looking for a self-motivated business development manager with previous experience in a similar role for a design/architecture or property development firm. We want someone who is proactive in building long-lasting client relationships. You will have a proven sales background and be confident performing market research, developing new business strategies and reporting.

  • advanced knowledge of the property industry essential
  • enjoys market research and analysis
  • experience with customer relationship management databases
  • property or design background
  • three to five years of BD experience working in a direct-to-client capacity
  • must possess excellent verbal and written skills
  • graphic design/in design skills a plus but not essential
  • strong interest in architecture and design
  • fluency in written and spoken English
