Architect/senior architect

Acre Design is seeking an architect or senior architect to join its team in Tyneside, UK.
An experienced architect with specific experience in working on residential projects is required to join our small and friendly architecture practice. The post will be working from home with regular site visits.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- a minimum of three years’ experience working in practice in the UK
- a track record of creative designs on large residential new extensions and new builds
- a full understanding of local building regulation and planning laws
- experience undertaking contracts administration on site during construction
- a clean driving license and access to a car for work purposes
A proven track record of managing projects through the design phase is important. Any applicant must be focused, hard working, organised with good communication and interpersonal skills.
The perfect candidate would have experience of managing a small design team.
The job will be primarily made up of:
- working closely with clients and managing a portfolio of large residential projects
- working with our other architects and technicians to create concept designs and develope those with the client
- helping with the tender process and contracts administration
