Head of delivery

Design Council is looking for a dynamic head of delivery to join its team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the organisation, connecting all the teams and supporting us to deliver outstanding work at Design Council.
The head of delivery leads our specialist design team by managing the systems and processes ensuring our design leads can focus on producing the greatest possible impact for our clients to enable our specialist design leads to focus on brilliant thinking and delivery for clients, led by a person who loves managing and developing people, and the systems and processes that will best support them.
Reporting to the director of place, you will have experience in project management and building, leading and motivating multi-disciplinary teams. Building strong relationships and influencing at all levels from senior leadership to team members, comes naturally to you.
You love managing a team and building the systems and processes to support them. You understand how people work together. You can engage and motivate a team. You can give and receive feedback, encouraging a healthy feedback loop. You can ensure the health of a team and facilitate conflict resolution.
You create an open and collaborative working environment and you are constantly learning yourself. You know how to help teams maintain focus on delivery while always being aware of their health and well-being.
Your brilliant people skills are matched by your organisational and business management skills. Highly financially literate, you will support the director of place with overall budgeting and resource management, as well as achieving annual financial targets. Ideally, you have a background in design and experience of working in a design organisation or related creative industry.
We are currently working from home following covid restrictions and envisage a gradual return to our office once restrictions have lifted with two to three days per week at our office in Old Street and up to two days working from home.
