tcc global is seeking a senior product designer – soft goods to join its team in London.

Passionate about product design and all things creative? Currently working with over 250 retailers worldwide across 60 markets and generating revenues of circa €460 million, it has never been a more exciting time for a Senior Product Designer, to make an impact within the team, as we look to grow the business over the next three years and double it over the next decade.

About the role

In this role, you’ll indeed play a fundamental role in establishing the concept, colour palette, construction, look, feel and features of the new products within our textiles and soft goods category, which also encompasses the logistical and manufacturing aspect of creating something new (i.e. work alongside the design team, sourcing, supply chain and suppliers).

You’ll design and develop multiple product ranges from end-to-end process from concept through to production, supporting the team to achieve the department KPI’s. This role will also be instrumental in supporting the entire Reward Development team.

40% time: Working as a designer across the campaign and reward development team on a variety of projects, supporting senior colleagues on projects from concept through to design and development. This will entail everything from initial concept sketches to design brief and final product. Joining colleagues at internal and external meetings to progress range development.

40% time: Work as autonomous project manager leading reward development from concept to launch phase, working as part of a team with colleagues in marketing, creative, sourcing, supply chain, brand management and logistics.

20% time: Working as part of a mixed reward, creative, marketing and brand team on new concepts in categories or with brands that tcc has never worked in before as an innovation workstream

Based out of our offices at Heathrow House and remotely from home, life in the campaign and reward development team is full of variety and evolving projects. You will be able to input and collaborate within a strong team of experts who are designing solutions for our clients so that they can reach, reward and retain their loyal customers across the digital and physical shopper journey.

About you

You’ll have practical problem-solving skills and be driven to develop thoughtful design solutions along with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate ideas through outstanding visualisation skills. With a minimum of five years’ experience as a product designer, and ideally a strong graphic aesthetic.

You’ll have:

  • demonstrable experience in soft goods product design, with a sound knowledge of product development through prototyping and testing
  • ideally educated to degree level in product design or relevant design related discipline
  • experience in working the entire product development process: from conceptualisation to manufacture
  • highly competent in producing technical drawings and specifications ready for manufacture
  • competency required in creative software -in 3D modelling an advantage
  • competent with 2D visualisation tools – Adobe Creative Suite
  • ability to put together professional design presentations
  • excellent communication skills – visual, verbal, and written proficiency in English
