Markus Widmann Licht is seeking a lighting designer-planner/interior designer/architect to join its team in Munich.
Markus Widmann Licht is a lighting planning office with its own retail showroom and workshop in Munich-Schwabing, Germany.
In cooperation with architects and property developers, Markus Widmann Licht develops coherent lighting concepts for exclusive residential buildings as well as hotels, restaurants, offices and retail showrooms, etc.
If the project requires, we have the know-how to develop and manufacture bespoke exclusive lighting solutions in our in-house workshop.
We are looking for a lighting designer planner/interior designer/architect with excellent knowledge in the field of lighting technology for a varied, demanding and rewarding position.
We differ significantly from other lighting design offices, as we implement exclusive custom lighting designs for our customers, which makes working with us particularly exciting and varied.
Key responsibilities:
- design development and execution
- development of lighting concepts
- design of lights and their accessories
- preparation of project documentation in the form of presentations, flow charts, qualified drawings, assignment plans, functional diagrams, pictograms, etc
- light calculations in Relux or Dialux, 2D and 3D visualisations, in cooperation with our in-house workshop, sampling is often carried out in a 1: 1 model
- create plans with VectorWorks
- documentation of the lighting systems including the creation of maintenance plans
- client consultancy on lighting concepts and product advice in our own retail showroom
- general project management such as creating quotes and processing of orders
Skills/knowledge required:
- degree in lighting design, interior, product design or architecture
- experience in a lighting design/product design or interior architecture context
- practical workshop experience an advantage
- you are characterised by a structured, goal-oriented and independent way of working
- you are flexible and enjoy really diverse areas of responsibility and enjoy working as part of a team
- we expect reliability, very good communication and mediation skills, high strategic planning and technical abilities, open-minded, interdisciplinary thinking and self-motivation ability together with a well-groomed appearance
- native in German, both spoken and written is of advantage. Basic knowledge desired with the aspiration to learn German
- this is a full-time permanent position. All candidates should be eligible to work in Germany
