Duffy London is hiring a junior assistant CAD draughtsman to join its team in London.
Duffy London is a design and manufacturing studio based in East London, designing some of the world’s most cutting-edge furniture concepts and design pieces.
Designs are ideas-based, combining art and function whilst playing with the concepts of gravity, geometry and illusion.
We are looking for a junior assistant CAD draughtsman to assist with a wide range of projects, not limited to: bespoke furniture commissions for clients across the globe, concept design projects and expanding our current range of products. The candidate must be a skilled industrial furniture 3D CAD/Rhino technician.
The role will be based on-site at the Duffy London studio in east London, E16 1YZ
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- working on a wide range of projects, not limited to; furniture commissions for clients, concept design projects and expanding our current range of products
- producing 3D visuals for conceptual proposals and content for our website, social channels and online design magazines
- creating technical drawings for manufacture
- working closely with our in-house manufacturing team
- assisting in the day-to-day running of the studio
Skills and experience:
- professional in 3D CAD/Rhino or any other associated field (excellent knowledge of Rhino 3D is a must)
- proven skills in Adobe Suite and 3D rendering package (good knowledge of Blender is a bonus)
- making skills would be held in high regard
- interest in 3D printing
- good spoken and written communication skills in English. Other languages are a plus
