Senior interior designer
at Studio PDP
PDP London is hiring a senior interior designer to join its studio in London.
PDP London are looking for a creative senior interior designer, or a mid-weight designer looking for career growth working on an iconic listed building project in central London. The right person will have a diverse portfolio and will ideally have worked on hospitality or residential interiors for listed buildings.
Through consultation, research and collaboration, we find and develop new ideas and ways of thinking. Key responsibilities:
- develop original and effective interior design solutions from conception to completion
- build great working relationships with the client through collaboration in creating and communicating a clearly defined creative vision
- present concepts and design solutions to the client
- strive to grow the interior design portfolio for the practice by developing new opportunities with new or existing clients
- create cost schedules and ensure projects run within agreed budgets
- responsible for project resourcing, ensuring that all stages of the project are costed and delivered within agreed timeframes
- liaise and communicate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, local authorities and other relevant stakeholders
- ensure that the FF&E brief is fulfilled
- prepare planning applications, tender documentation, and licensing drawings
- ensure the smooth running of the project through regular site visits
Skills, knowledge, and expertise:
- BA (Hons) or MA interior architecture qualification or equivalent
- demonstrable creative talent
- experience or an interest in working on listed buildings
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- knowledge of FF&E and supply chain
- experience working on a diverse range of briefs and projects
Technical experience and skills:
- AutoCAD
- InDesign
- Photoshop
- use of Revit would be an advantage
Salary: dependent on experience
