Graphics lead

Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo is hiring a graphics lead to join its team in London.
WATG are looking for a graphics lead who possesses a solid foundation in pure graphic design; a firm grasp of today’s graphics hardware and software technologies; a thirst for applying new design concepts within a design consultancy architecture/landscape architecture and interior design business environment and the ability to work with a variety of project sizes and schedules concurrently.
WATG is a leading design practice and we need a graphic design lead who appreciates how to maintain and build our reputation through designing and influencing all our external material.
Major responsibilities of the role include:
- the ability to work well with all levels of staff, including principle partners, senior architects and other members of the studio team on the production of presentations, project proposals and developing marketing materials that are in line with WATG’s standards and aesthetic. The ability to generate sympatric narratives which help to explain our design work is essential
- ability to design art and copy layouts for material to be presented by visual communications media such as books, magazines, newspapers, television and packaging. Studies illustrations and photographs to plan presentation of material, product or service
- ability to determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type and arranges layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
- responsible for the review of final layout and suggesting improvements, as needed with a keen eye for accuracy and the written word
- expertise to oversee the production and ensure quality of the final material
- a start to finish handover of graphic supporting work
Other requirements include:
- proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Affinity equivalents (Publisher, Designer, Photo)
- must be an expert in written and verbal communication
- proven ability to work with all levels of staff and treat them equally
- an outstanding eye for design, detail and layout
- a fundamental understanding of typography, colour and composition
- strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- ability to work independently and take initiative
- ability to consistently meet all deadlines
- being a team player
- experience with working in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment
- ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- maintain a high level of honesty and integrity
