Parti is seeking an interior/furniture designer to join its team in London.

Parti are an award-winning, London-based architecture and design studio delivering a range of projects, including; art galleries, hotels, educational institutions and private homes. Parti specialise in thoughtful and creative designs, developed using an explorative, research based approach.

Parti are looking for a talented designer to focus on project interiors. We have a number of exciting opportunities – particularly within the hospitality industry – that involve interior design, exhibition design and furniture design.

We are looking for an in-house designer to work closely with the architectural team to create holistic design solutions and contribute to an exploratory and research-based design methodology.

The successful candidate would be responsible for driving the interior design of projects from conception, to managing the specification of all interior elements. Additionally, the candidate would work on a range of bespoke furniture for each project. The role would involve liaising with suppliers, working with manufacturers, client meetings and site visits across the UK.

We are looking for an experienced person to drive a new department within the office, therefore intuitive thinking and excellent management and organisational skills are essential.

We are currently based in Vauxhall, but are moving to a new studio in Islington from October 2021 onwards.

Required skills and experience include:

  • excellent creative design skills and attention to detail
  • ideally three plus years’ working in interior architecture or interior design (architectural experience accepted, with a desire to focus on interior architecture and furniture)
  • extensive joinery experience, or experience in furniture design
  • a good understanding of materials, processes and fabrication drawings
  • an excellent project coordinator with experience managing projects
  • an excellent communicator, with strong written and verbal skills
