Part 2/3 architect or architectural technician/technologist

Easton Design Office is seeking a Part 3/Part 2 architect or technician/technologist to join its growing London-based practice.
We are currently undertaking a significant number of residential and commercial projects that range from small reconfigurations and extensions to large renovation projects and commercial fit-outs. This new role will provide support to the existing team throughout the design and build process. In particular we are looking for someone that is self motivated, approachable and has strong technical design skills. They should be client facing and able to take a project from conception to completion.
We will consider both part and full time applicants and the role may allow for both home and office working by mutual agreement.
The role:
- meet the client and accept the brief
- provide creative design solutions to all projects
- undertake technical drawings and coordinate the professional team
- source and specify materials and other building components
- arrange and attend site visits at various locations in the London area (and beyond)
- prepare planning drawings and submit applications
- be familiar with current building regulations and CDM responsibilities
- confident working independently but able to collaborate when required
Experience and skills required:
- proficient in Vectorworks is preferred, experience of using SketchUp an advantage
- good verbal and written communication skills
- familiar with current building standards and regulations
- London based, so as to attend local projects as needed
- minimum Part 2 qualified, with UK experience
- experience of working through a variety of RIBA stages
- able to demonstrate a practical approach and some experience of construction detailing
- knowledge of UK planning processes and requirements
Salary based on experience.
