About Emrys Architects
We are an award-winning practice based in Smithfields, London. Our work is primarily London-based and is within residential/arts and culture/commercial sectors. The role
We are looking for highly motivated architects to help deliver some of the exciting new schemes in the studio. We ask our architects to solve problems and inspire creative solutions throughout the design process. We believe working together collaboratively is the key to unlocking problems and creating great design; all candidates should demonstrate a willingness to work within a team environment.
All Emrys staff work on new business projects and competitions in addition to their day-to-day project work. Emrys are a BIM-enabled office; candidates should ideally have on-project experience of working with REVIT. We expect our staff to be enthusiastic participants in the wider building industry and to demonstrate an awareness of developments and innovation in design and construction.
What we’re looking for:
- ARB registration mandatory
- demonstrate thought leadership in sustainable design; helping drive the practice to meet low-carbon targets
- demonstrate exception design skills applied to projects
- experience/involvement in complex building projects from inception to delivery
- demonstrate applied experience of the planning process, detailed design and working with contractor and trades to realise a concept
- candidate should have a strong grasp of construction procurement, demonstrating critical appraisal in procurement options/contract types and contract administration
- good working knowledge of Revit/ability to use 3D modelling for design coordination
- project-based experience of BIM
