Tala Fustok is seeking a full-time junior interior designer to join the team in London.
We are looking for a junior interior designer to work on our projects from full design development, FF&E procurement and administration, and seeing the projects through to completion. The candidate must have at least 18 months’ work experience in a high end residential or hospitality practice. We are looking for someone who has an eye for design, is thorough & detailed, and enjoys learning and taking new responsibilities.
We are a small team of designers passionate about our work, dedicated to creating atmospheres and responding to client briefs. We work across sectors from hospitality to high end residential.
Job title: junior interior designer or junior interior architect
Job description:
- work with the rest of the team to deliver projects from concept to completion on time and budget and to the highest standard
- produce accurate technical drawings and FF&E design to form a design package
- produce client presentations and assist presenting them
- issue and keep track of FF&E orders and deliveries as required
- liaise with suppliers, contractors and trades to ensure that building stages are being executed as per the design package
Key responsibilities:
- preparing presentations on InDesign including visuals and producing mood and material boards for presentation to clients
- create detailed technical specifications and drawings
- liaise directly with suppliers, building contractors and tradespeople
- assist with FF&E research, sourcing, specification, procurement and supply process
- very high-level communication skills
Skills required:
- relevant interior design or interior architecture qualification
- proficiency in Vectorworks (or AutoCAD), SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and Excel essential
