Firecracker Works is seeking a technical design lead to join its team in London.
We have an exciting new role for a technical design lead Initially reporting to the head of creative this role will work closely with the team of designers, production managers and workshop manager to oversee the production of high quality construction drawings that aid the transition from concept through to build. The ideal candidate will be an experienced technical/construction design lead used to overseeing the output of drawings at pace, that are workshop ready. Overseeing all output the technical lead is responsible for setting the standard in creating extremely detailed and easy to follow drawings and instructions that can be easily read and followed. You will also have the ability to take any concept proposal and rationalise this into something that can be built, that is fully thought through and is realistic to proposed budgets and timelines. You will have an unrivalled understanding of materials and construction methodology and have five to ten years experience in seeing projects through to workshop completion. You will understand the importance of brand and how to translate this into construction drawings and build. You will be comfortable presenting and communicating internally and to our clients as needed.
