Senior lighting designer
SEAM Design is looking for a senior lighting designer to join its London-based practice.
SEAM Design is looking for a senior lighting designer to join their studio in London. With a diverse portfolio of UK-based and international projects, we require an experienced, creative, and self-motivated individual to engage in the design process and aspire to become responsible for managing projects across various scales, from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will be able to supervise the work of lighting designers while also contributing to the analytical design approach with their creativity and technical expertise.
The job will require occasional travel and extensive collaboration with international design teams – fluency in English is mandatory as well as spoken and written French to support major projects in the portfolio. Salary £32-35K.
The job requires a refined set of technical skills in the production of architectural work and knowledge in innovative lighting technologies.
Required skills:
– proficiency in CAD,
– Adobe suite
– 3D modelling and Dialux as a basis, specification and schedules
Experience:
– a minimum of five years experience in the profession of lighting design with project experience similar in type and calibre of projects in the SEAM portfolio is required.
Training:
All candidates must hold academic accreditation in lighting design as well as architecture/interior design.
