BIM coordinator/architect

Undercover Architecture has a vacancy for a BIM coordinator/architect to join its team in London.
Undercover Architecture is recruiting for a full-time project BIM coordinator and technician to introduce and lead BIM utilisation to our diverse and talented studio working on exciting residential and hospitality projects based in London and France.
We are especially keen to hear from those with proven experience in facilitating bespoke architectural design through advanced modelling techniques and information management processes.
The main responsibilities will be:
- assist in setting up the Vectorworks BIM infrastructure across a small studio
- assist in the introduction and setup of a BIM execution plan
- advise on and ensure best practice is followed in modelling and project setup
- provide a high-level of technical and software support to teams and individuals
Requirements:
- have an architectural background and an interest in creative and bespoke design
- proficiency in technical design (as this would dovetail with the quality of detail presented in the BIM projects)
- have prior experience with BIM management/coordination of projects using Vectorworks
- modelling and information management automation
- experience coordinating structure and M&E within the BIM workflow
- have experience liaising with contractors
- comfortable working within a small team on multiple projects
The right applicant will also benefit from:
- excellent using Vectorworks (or have a background in Revit)
- an artistic and graphic sensibility
- have 3D software knowledge using Rhino or SketchUp
- Adobe Suites
- experience in construction documentation including detailing, scheduling and specifications
- good general knowledge of UK Building Regulations
- experience in assisting to deliver projects across RIBA Stages 3-5
- excellent written and verbal communication
Highly competitive salary – dependent on experience.
