Interior designer – luxury FF&E specialisation
at Viterbo Interior Design
Viterbo Interior Design is looking for an interior designer that specialises in luxury FF&E to join its practice in Cascais, Portugal.
Requirements:
- a degree in interior design/interior architecture, with at least seven years experience in high-end projects
- experience in concept through design development, construction documentation and administration stages
- solid conceptual and design flair
- fluent in English; any other languages would be advantageous too
- the ability to work at the peak level of design awareness
- confidence to work in a multifaceted, demanding environment
- developing design models as briefing
- considering materials and costs according to agreed budgets and negotiating project fees
- the creation of sample or mood boards for presentation to clients
- sourcing products, eg furniture, lighting, fixtures and fittings, decoration and providing samples for the client
- preparing comprehensive working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, using computer-aided design -CAD and related software.
- working in a team with other designers
- supervising work at the design stage and on site
- the need to be able to work closely with all consultants to establish costs and work schedules on larger projects, with architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space and also to work with manufacturers and contractors
- observance of up to date new advances and developments in the design industry
