Dezeen is looking for a head of Dezeen Awards to join its team in London.
Created by Dezeen, the world’s most popular and influential architecture and design magazine, Dezeen Awards is one of the biggest and most prestigious awards programmes in the architecture, interiors and design industry.
We are looking for an outstanding person to act as an ambassador for Dezeen Awards and to manage and grow our awards programme, and build relationships with brand sponsors.
Reporting to our chief revenue officer, responsibilities will include:
- overseeing and delivering the awards departmental strategy
- securing brand sponsorship for Dezeen Awards
- driving entries and entries revenue growth
- managing and running the day-to-day operations of a small team plus interns
- developing and building relationships with Dezeen Awards judges
producing and coordinating awards content and marketing activities with other departments - organising key activities around launch, entry period, longlisting, shortlisting, judging, master jury sessions, public vote and winners announcements
- working with sponsors, media partners and press contacts on promotional and content activities
- reporting on insights and analysing performance data
- improving processes and workflows
We want someone who is well-organised with a keen eye for detail. You should have strong analytical, communication and project management skills, and perform with flair and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a sponsorship or business development role and managing a small team is vital, along with knowledge of digital content, marketing and engagement. Please note that Dezeen Awards is a digital-first project, and experience in running online projects is vital.
Knowledge of the architecture and design industry would be an advantage, but not essential.
The position is based at Dezeen’s office in Hoxton, London, UK. However, due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the role will initially require a significant amount of remote working.
