Position description

Gould Evans is seeking a full-time project architect based out of Phoenix to work as part of our collaborative design studios. Ideal candidate would have seven plus years’ of experience, with a professional degree and strong rendering skills with proficiency in Revit, a portfolio with several fully realized projects and architecture license.

Primary responsibilities of the position:

  • development of design, documentation, mock-up and construction administration support
  • responsible for team coordination, internal and external consultants
  • coordination of detail design with sub-contractor input
  • coordination with specification writer conveying design intent through drawings and specs
  • Revit modeling, working as a team to coordinate modeling methods
  • work with the project team on energy performance, budget and design criteria
  • development of sustainable design, coordinating compliance with local state and federal regulations

We are seeking candidates with:

  • professional degree in architecture
  • licensed, required
  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment and the flexibility to support numerous teams in any project phase
  • strong communication and design skills. Including experience in early design phases
  • ability to create new ideas both independently and in collaboration
  • experience working with high design projects
  • strong rendering skills – knowledge of 3DS Max, Rhino, V-Ray, and SketchUp, preferred
  • proficiency with Revit 2020, required
  • strong consultant coordination, drawing, and design skills – including experience in construction administration phase
  • technical design and execution, unique material detailing experience is a bonus
